In a bold and confident declaration, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has projected victory for the party in the upcoming 2028 general elections. According to him, the NPP remains the most credible political force in Ghana, and with the right message, unity, and commitment, the party will break new grounds and retain political power.
Speaking at a recent party engagement, Kodua emphasized that the NPP is more focused than ever on restructuring its grassroots machinery and refining its national agenda to address the immediate needs of Ghanaians. “We have learned valuable lessons from the past. Our goal is not only to win elections but to sustain development, promote economic empowerment, and deepen democratic values,” he stated.
He acknowledged the challenges the party faced in recent years but noted that these have only served to strengthen its resolve. Kodua further urged party members and supporters to remain committed and disciplined, stressing that internal cohesion and strategic planning will be key to securing victory.
“We are already on the move,” he said. “Our message is clear—prosperity, progress, and performance. By 2028, Ghanaians will see that the NPP is the only party with a vision that can transform the future.”
His remarks come amid rising political activity and renewed interest in who will lead Ghana into the next decade. With the 2028 elections still a few years away, the NPP’s early show of confidence signals an aggressive and focused approach to reclaim and maintain political dominance.
Political analysts have noted that while the NPP faces stiff competition from the opposition, the party’s ability to mobilize at the grassroots level, deliver consistent messaging, and present a unified front will play a crucial role in shaping the electoral landscape ahead.
